The conference will begin at 8:30 am (Pacific Time) on Thursday, November 13, and will end at 4:30 pm (Pacific) on Friday, November 14. This year’s two-day meeting features many highly interactive and practice-oriented workshops and discussion roundtables focused on issues of interest and importance to charter authorizers and others dedicated to advancing charter schools.

The Honorable Jerry Brown, Mayor of Oakland (CA) and prominent advocate for expanding statutory chartering authority in California, will deliver the keynote address.

Annual Membership Meeting

NACSA's Annual Membership Meeting will take place at breakfast time on Friday (7:45 - 8:30 am). Among the agenda items will be an election to fill the vacancies of those board members whose terms expire in the 2003-04 year. Join us as well for a Membership Forum beginning at 3:30 pm on Friday for an informal and open discussion of professional issues of interest.

Browse the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine website for more information. Rooms in NACSA's block are at rates of $129 (single) and $139 (double). The 'cut off' date was October 10, 2003, but the hotel may honor these rates on a space available basis. Call Hyatt's national toll-free reservations office, 1.888.964.9288, request dates for the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine, and identify yourself as a NACSA conference attendee.
