The
American
Academy for Liberal Education (AALE)
seeks a middle-level hire to support the AALE Charter School Accreditation
Program, which targets the nation’s most academically demanding public charter
schools for membership. Website:

. Working under
supervision of senior staff, the incumbent will research such schools, initiate
relations, assist with the accreditation process, and attend site visits.

He or she will present the AALE program
at local and national meetings of charter school and reform groups; help manage
national meetings for the AALE board and accredited/applicant schools; read
relevant policy literature; write program documents; and help develop services
for member schools.  Importantly,
the incumbent will perform these duties while maintaining correspondence,
database records, and the rolling calendar of program activities, with keen
attention to order and detail. 
Applicants should have a distinguished liberal arts academic background;
knowledge of and/or experience in K-12 education and reform; diplomatic skills;
strong orientation to detail; self-starting habits; and willingness to travel
frequently.  Computer savvy
desirable.  Competitive salary based
